About Abbey LOI 945

History

The Abbey Lodge Of Instruction No. 945 was set up in 1919 for the brethren of Abbey Lodge No. 945 to receive the benefits of improving their masonic knowledge and to learn, understand and practice the ceremonies of the three degrees and Installation of craft masonry.  For many years the LOI was held on a monthly schedule but, prior to the suspension of masonic meetings during the Covid-19 pandemic, meetings were on a quarterly basis. When St Edmund Lodge No. 6451 was formed in 1947 its brethren were invited to participate in the Abbey LOI and now attendance is open to any freemason living, working or passing through the district who can demonstrate that he is such.
